TESTIMONIALS FROM THE LEADERSHIP TEAM:

John Blatt, NAVTP Team (member of NAEC, NAESAI, and NAVTP) – “It has been a privilege to work with the leadership of NAVTP, NAEC, CECA, and NAESAI in planning the educational aspects of the seminar.  I believe there is something of interest to everyone and that everyone in attendance will benefit from the trade show.  The facilities are excellent and the offerings are superb.  Toronto is a super city.  Full of entertainment opportunities, shopping galore, easy to access underground connectors and trains.  The CN Tower deserves a visit.  By the way – consider going to “Mama Mia” while in Toronto.  Yes, you will need to order tickets in advance.”

Doug Boydston, NAEC Team (President of NAEC) – “When I first heard about the commitment we had made at NAEC a few years back to work with three other organizations to put together a joint convention I was a little nervous about how it would work out.  I have no such worries now thanks to the hard work of the Lead Team, especially the Education Committee, and of course Teresa, who has kept us all on track, and the entire NAEC staff for their attention to details concerning this unique event.  Having been able to be a part of the leadership team this year has been an honor for me and I am confident that this event is going to be a huge success.  It has been a special treat for me to get to know the leaders in NAESAI, CECA and NAVTP who I would not have met otherwise.  This event has defined my term as President of NAEC and provided my theme:  Unity in Diversity.  NAEC is thrilled to share United in Toronto 2005 with our brothers and sisters in NAESAI, NAVTP and CECA as well as many other related groups such as ASME, ISO, etc.  The summer is going to fly by for me and I can’t wait to see everyone in Toronto in September.”

Ed DeFilippis, NAEC Team – “I am very fortunate to be part of the All Star Team as we plan what will surely be the biggest event in our industry.  From Day One the leaders of CECA, NAEC, NAESAI and NAVTP have worked in harmony to put together a program that offers something for everyone.  United in Toronto 2005 will be an event that no one should miss.”

Gordon Ernst, NAVTP Team (President of NAVTP, member of NAEC and NAESAI) - "This United in Toronto 2005 is the first time all four organizations have banded together for the betterment of the whole elevator industry and the general public that uses elevators/escalators/home lifts and all types of transportation provided by the elevator industry.  What a great opportunity for the members of the four organizations to meet together and discuss elevator issues/topics such as Acceptable Elevator Maintenance, When to Modernize, Code Issues, Safety Requirements, Traffic Analysis, MRL Elevators and many more items that will enhance the elevator industry and the individual person.  It has been my privilege in working with the other Team Leaders in planning this United in Toronto - what a group of really dedicated people to the elevator industry.  See you in Toronto!"

Steve Husband, CECA Team (member of CECA, NAEC, and NAESAI) – “Wow!!  United in Toronto is just around the corner and from what I can tell it is going to be a fantastic convention!  I remember at least six years back when the idea of a joint convention between CECA and NAEC came about and just three years later it became a reality.  Now we have two other great organizations in NAVTP and NAESAI involved to make it bigger then we ever imagined.  This is going to be the biggest event that has hit the elevator industry in North America.  As an industry associate and friend of mine who sums it up really well says, ‘If the word “elevator” is in your job description, you will want to be in Toronto in ‘05’.”

Marie McDonald, NAESAI Team (member of NAEC and NAESAI) – "I am so excited about the Joint Convention/Workshop that will be held at the end of September this year.  What a wonderful experience everybody will share, meeting people within the industry that they normally may not meet as members of A17, ISO, NAEC, NAESAI, NAVTP and CECA.  We will be able to attend meetings and educational programs, if we so wish, that we normally would not have an opportunity to attend as the time and cost of attending the yearly functions of all these organization would be too dear.  And, the suppliers have the opportunity to enhance their booths for our benefit as many of them only have the one show to attend this year instead of three or four.  An added benefit is visiting Toronto which is an exhilarating, vital city with many fine restaurants, parks, museums and great shopping.  It is also a beautiful city situated on Lake Ontario which if you like oceans and lakes as I do, is always a plus.  I look forward to a great week in Canada and hope that many of the CECA, NAEC, NAESAI, and NAVTP members will join us."

Mike Ryan, NAEC Team and Committee Secretary (member of CECA, NAEC, and NAESAI) – “ This show will bring together all aspects of the elevator market, for the first time, suppliers, contractors, consultants and inspectors have the opportunity to network and learn from each other in a venue never before available.”

Dotty Stanlaske, NAESAI Team – “It has been a pure joy working with Teresa and the other members of the Leadership Team.  I am honored to represent NAESA International in this joint venture with NAEC, CECA and NAVTP.  This venue provides a unique opportunity for our members, as well as the members of the other organizations, to network with folks that they might never meet otherwise.  The accommodations are elegant, the educational offerings are stimulating and the social events promise to be quite entertaining.  This event is something you will not want to miss—and be sure to bring a guest!!
